HISTORIC PRESERVATION

Across America we’re involved in preservation of historic rail lines, locomotives, rolling stock and stations. Our experience includes executive management or Board membership of major rail museums and historic rail tourist lines. We work with local government and historical societies to preserve and restore railway depots and stations, often with partners such as the National Park Service, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Historic American Engineering Record and many others.

Amherst, Massachusetts: Restoration of 1871 depot located within the Emily Dickinson National Historic District. Project sponsors include City of Amherst, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, National Park Service, Mass Central Railroad and Amtrak. Depot used daily by two “Vermonter” passenger trains.
